What makes Mrs. Wu’s farm stand out is that it is not only one of the most successful tea farms in the country, but that it is also one of the few women-owned tea farms. In Taiwan’s rural township of Luye, Mrs. Wu’s tea garden is surrounded by stunning mountains and a river valley.

Mrs. Wu started growing, making, and baking tea with her husband years ago; their passion for farming and agriculture began during their university days, when they first met.
Since then, she has perfected her farming practices and is a 70-time Gold Award winner in the Taitung Special Tea Competition. Ruby Oolong is the regional specialty of Taitung and so she has earned the title of Ruby Oolong Queen.

If you like your tea a little more robust (dark and flavorful), this will be the tea of your choice. I brew and drink this tea hot and it does have notes of caramel and cocoa, the best part is that there is a slight velvety finish at the end.

This ruby oolong tea is great as a hot brew. Perfectly comforting during this cold winter season. It has a clean, pure taste. If you want to make it more exciting, you can add some dried dates and goji berries to it. Also, a little bit goes a long way. Just a pinch of tea leaves (5-6 leaves) makes 2 nice full cups of tea for me. Looking forward to trying it as a cold brew when it warms up!

its fragrance notable, but not overpowering…crisp flavour is the perfect complement to the greasy food and hit all the right spots for a tea companion!

Bought ruby oolong as I was in search of a healthy and high quality DIY cold brew because I don’t like store bought teas or tea bags that keep you up at night. And now this is my go to especially on the hot summer days!! It’s clean and crisp with lots of enough flavor and no bitterness. Will be making this for the family all summer long!

Absolutely in love with this Ruby Oolong! Its distinct malty and caramel flavors and aroma hold up well in a variety of preparations. I’ve brewed this hot, hot iced, and cold-brewed — each one was incredible. My personal favorite during this hot weather is hot brewing and chilling, and then serving it iced with cold-frothed almond milk. The distinct flavors and aromas even shine through with milk drinks so there’s always an occasion for this tea!
